Hosted by the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, the Brain Tumour Walk is a national movement to end brain tumors. Each year, hundreds of teams and individuals across Canada come together to raise funds for life-changing research, support programs, information, advocacy, awareness and hope.
Whether you’ve just begun your journey, you’re celebrating as a survivor or you’ve lost someone close to you, you’re invited to be part of the national movement to end brain tumors.
After three years of pandemic restrictions and virtual events, we were excited to return to live walks in 2023. Thank you to everyone who joined us on June 4 at the Edmonton Garrison Military Fitness Centre. The 2023 Brain Tumour Walk succeeded in raising more than $1.6 million.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the national Brain Tumour Walk went virtual. On Sunday, June 27, we joined the rest of the brain tumor community across Canada to walk with the united goal to see an end to brain tumors. We were able to raise $717 to help support the fight against brain cancer.

The 2019 Edmonton Brain Tumour Walk took place on May 25 in Hawrelak Park. Our team participated for the seventh year in a row and succeeded in raising $1,121 towards a city total of $127,868 and counting! If you didn’t get a chance, there’s still time to donate to our team and help support the fight against brain cancer.

The 2018 Edmonton Brain Tumour Walk took place on May 26 in Hawrelak Park. Our team participated for our sixth year in a row and succeeded in raising almost $3,000!

The 2016 Edmonton Brain Tumour Walk took place on May 28 in Hawrelak Park. Our team raised almost $1,400 and helped the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada raise over $125,000 for brain tumor support programs, services, education and research. The Taite Boomer Foundation is pleased to announce that our team contributed over $4,000 to the Edmonton total.
