Our Never Back Down fundraiser in support of brain cancer research and awareness allows us to bring together all of our amazing supporters for a fun night out, where all the proceeds go towards funding critical brain tumor research. Since our first annual fundraiser in 2012, the Never Back Down fundraising events allowed us to raise over $142,000!

After 4 years of pandemic restrictions, we were excited to finally host our fundraising event. Our 2023 Never Back Down fundraiser on April 15 brought together approximately 70 supporters for an exclusive experience at a private antiques and vintage collection.
We are happy to announce that we were able to raise just under $13,500 for brain cancer research and awareness from ticket and t-shirt sales, our silent auction and generous donations. Thank you to everyone who came out to support our cause and spend the evening with us.
We’d like to give a huge thank you to the hosting family who generously shared their passion and private collection with us.
We’d also like to thank Alexa Elle Smith for sharing her amazing voice and talent with us.

Our 2019 Never Back Down fundraiser was held on April 13 at the Shamrock Curling Club Lounge and saw approximately 60 amazing supporters for a private event of presentations, fun, games, a silent auction and food catered by Drift Food Truck. We are proud to announce that we succeeded in raising over $12,000 for brain cancer research and awareness! We’d like to give a huge thank you to everyone who attended and supported us.
This fundraiser was supported by hair artist and barber, Nikki Campion, who, for the entire month of March, donated 10% of her services and product sales from every client who mentions the Taite Boomer Foundation.
Nikki has been a supporter of our foundation since it’s founding and we are so thankful for continued support. We encourage you to check her out!

Our sixth annual Never Back Down fundraiser was held on November 18 at Urban Tavern. Almost 100 amazing supporters joined us for a night of fun conversation and a silent auction. We are proud to announce that we succeeded in raising almost $12,000 for brain cancer research and awareness! Our fifth annual Never Back Down fundraiser was held on November 12 at Jägare Ridge Golf Club. We sold approximately 100 tickets for an evening of presentations, fun and a silent auction. We are pleased to announce that we succeeded in raising over $15,000 for brain cancer research and awareness! Our fourth annual Never Back Down fundraiser was held on November 14 at The Pint off Whyte. We are pleased to announce that we sold almost 120 tickets and raised over $9,500! Thank you so much to everyone who came out—your generosity and support are greatly appreciated. And thank you to The Pint for helping us organize and host the event.
Our third annual Never Back Down fundraiser was held on November 15 at Central Social Hall in downtown Edmonton. After ticket and t-shirt sales, and in addition to some very generous donations from friends and family, we succeeded in raising over $12,600! Our second annual Never Back Down fundraiser was held on November 15 at the Public House in downtown Edmonton. We sold around 280 tickets and after t-shirt sales and some very generous donations, we succeeded in raising over $14,000! Our first Never Back Down fundraiser was held on November 15—what would have been Taite’s 21st birthday—at The Old Strathcona Rack on Whyte Ave. We sold approximately 200 tickets and raised more than $3,000! We would like to thank everyone who came out to celebrate Taite’s birthday and help us raise funds for brain cancer research. We greatly appreciate your support and would like you to know that you helped Taite’s friends and family get through a very difficult day. Thank you to The Rack for hosting and helping us plan such a successful event.
